Before Paul Kanjorski was elected into office he was a trial attorney in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He has held no other elective office even though he was active in public issues throughout his life. He attended Temple University and Dickinson School of Law and served in the army in the 1960’s. He has a wife named Nancy and a daughter that reside in Nanticoke Pennsylvania.
Paul Kanjorski was first elected into off in 1984. He represents Luzerne County, Lackawanna County, Carbon, Columbia, and Monroe Counties. He is chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises.
He has a strong record on improving operations of government on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform where he ranks second in seniority. He tries hard to stimulate economic development and support job creation, and helps secure federal funding for multiple flood control projects.
